
Pokhara Sports /Turkish Airlines has been announced as the official airline partner for the second edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL).
The league is scheduled to take place from September 5 to 13 at the Multipurpose Covered Hall in Pokhara.
This edition will feature 18 international players from different countries alongside Nepal’s top women volleyball players. Organizers claim the tournament will showcase a unique combination of skill, passion, and global representation.
The agreement was signed by Serkan Basar, General Manager of Turkish Airlines Nepal, and Snevy Chapagain, CEO of the EWVL.
General Manager Basar stated that Turkish Airlines is the airline flying to the highest number of countries worldwide, adding, “We are excited to officially partner with the Everest Women’s Volleyball League. Through this collaboration, we aim to support women role models in sports and connect Nepali volleyball to the international stage.”
Similarly, League CEO Chapagain welcomed Turkish Airlines, saying, “Their global presence and commitment to quality align with our vision. With the participation of international players and the support of Turkish Airlines, the tournament has become even more prestigious.”
Turkish Airlines, which began operations in 1933 with five aircraft, currently has a fleet of 491 aircraft and operates flights to 353 destinations in 131 countries.
According to the organizers, the second edition of the EWVL aims to decentralize Nepal’s national sport, bring in international participation, and create a celebratory atmosphere for women’s sports in Pokhara.
