
Pokhara Sports / The Everest Women’s Volleyball League franchise team, Pokhara Ninjas, has landed in Pokhara and immediately commenced training on their home turf in Pokhara stadium volleyball training center.
The Everest Women’s Volleyball League kicks off this Friday in Pokhara. The league is Nepal’s first women’s volleyball franchise league, featuring participation from six teams representing different cities and Province across Nepal.
In the second edition, held outside the capital in Pokhara, Pokhara Ninjas have announced Pragati Nath as their marquee player featuring three international players on their lineup.
The team also includes Punam Chand, Mina Sunar, Sunita Khatri, Garima Bohara, Anjila Pradhan, Nisha Mahara, Bhavana Tamang, and Girishma Gurung.
The foreign players in the team are Adiola Owokoniran, Lia Boban, and Anamaria Berdilar, according to the team’s operations head, Vikash Khetan, who informed Pokhara Sports.
The team’s head coach is Rupesh Bisht, with Santosh Shrestha as the assistant coach.
Pokhara Ninjas have confirmed their opening match against Karnali Yashwis on Bhadra 20. Karnali is the defending champion from the first edition, having defeated Lalitpur Queens in the final to win the inaugural title.
