Maneuverable Bhim! At 1 Down ?

Pokhara Sports /SAILESH ADHIKARI/ Bhim Sharki, affectionately known as “Jhonty Bhim” in Nepal, is a promising young cricketer making significant strides in Nepal’s national team. 
 
As of June 2025, he has played  33 One Day International (ODI) matches, amassing 827 runs at an average of 33.08, including one century and four half-centuries.  His highest score stands at an unbeaten 101* .
 
Notably, Sharki’s batting average of 33.08 is impressive, especially considering the challenges faced by Nepalese cricketers in the international arena.  His ability to anchor innings and accelerate when needed has made him a dependable middle-order batsman.  His fielding skills have also drawn comparisons to the legendary Jonty Rhodes, earning him the nickname “Jhonty Bhim.”

His yesterday  innings against Scotland  made him more dependable and the strong middle order with Arif is boosting Nepal cricket on Right track . Bhim sharki performance has been  overshadowed where he sound more clinical and dynamic player with different verities of shot .
