U-18 Tennis Tour: Abhilasha, Saloni, & Sharvani move to the semifinal

Pokhara Sports / Three Nepali players have entered the semi-finals of the ITF World Tennis Tour J-5 Circuit-2 in Pokhara.

Nepalese No.1 seed Abhilasha Bista, 3rd seed Saloni Tamang and, 5th seed Sharvani Shrestha moves to the semifinals in the ongoing competition at the Pokhara Tennis Complex.

In today’s match, Abhilasha defeated her Nepali opponent Shubhangi Laxmi Shah 6-1, 6-4 in straight sets to reach the semifinals. She will face Sharvani in the semifinals. Sharvani defeated India’s 6th seed Saumrita Jagat Deu Burma 6-3, 6-4 in a straight-set to secure her next match with Abhilasha. Similarly, Saloni defeated Shukhamani Bhandari of India 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets to face second seed Riya Dugar of India in the semifinals.

Similarly, the Indian pair of Kabir Chhabariya and Daksh Prasad made it to the semi-finals of the boys’ doubles. The pair defeated Nepali /American pair Aryan Giri and Jay Dutta. Similarly, American pair Siddhartha Lama and Methree Barrot have also reached the semifinals. In the boys’ doubles, Russia’s Amir Asyklozhaev and Hungary’s Lorant Gyori also made it to the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Indian pair of Niyati Kukreti and Hannah Nagpal have entered the semi-finals of the Girls Doubles. they will play against Indian compatriots Riya Dugar and Tanushree Pandey.

Ajay Bista, director of the competition, said that the final of the girls ‘doubles will played on Friday along with the boys’ doubles and the semi-final matches of the girls’/ boys’ singles.
