
Pokhara Sports / A Nepalese pair of Aarav Samrat Hada and Aki Zuben Rawat has lost their match under boys doubles event at ongoing ITF World Tennis Tour J5 in Pokhara.
In the doubles match played at the Pokhara Stadium Tennis Complex, Aarav and Aki lost to Indian pair of Chandan Shivaraj and Kriish Tyagi. Nepalese pair Aarav/Aki, lost the first set 7-6 in a very competitive super tie match, but managed to come back in the second set to win by 4-6 but lost the last set by 10-8.
Similarly, another Nepali pair of Nishan Shrestha and Nihal Jung Thapa lost their game in the doubles. They lost to the Indian pair of Vibhu Challagundla and Arnav Yadav 0-6, 6-4, 10-7. In the boys’ doubles, the Indian pair of Kabir Chhabriya and Daksh Prasad defeated the pair of Breno Rossetto of Brazil and Emilio Zielkowski of Sweden.
Similarly, the performance of the Nepalese Girls’ doubles Prakriti Shrestha and Sunira Thapa lost to the Indian pair of Riya Dugar and Tanushree Pandey 6-3, 6-2 in straight sets. Similarly, the Nepalese pair of Nimisha Dhakal and Aisha Dolkar Gurung lost to India Niyati Kukreti and Hannah Nagpal 6-2, 6-0 in straight sets. Another Nepali pair of Isha Shree Shah and Sharvani Shrestha lost 6-2, 6-1 in straight sets to Shannon Bovy of Belgium and Saumrita Verma of India. Indian duo Shukhamani Bhandari / Shohini Mohanty won their match in Girls Doubles
On the girls’ singles side, Sharvani Shrestha defeated Meher Mishra of India 7-5, 7-5 in a tie-breaker match. Saloni Tamang defeated Vansikha Maria of India 6-2, 6-3, Abhilasha Bista defeated Diva Bhatta of India 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the tiebreaker, and Shubhangi Laxmi Shah defeated Millee Chug of India 6-0, 6-1 to enter the quarterfinals. Similarly, Riyah Dugar, Tanushree Pandey, Sukhmanni Bhandari, and Saumrita Verma of India won their match in singles to reach the quarterfinal.
