
Pokhara Sports / Rajesh Kumar Gurung, Board member of the National Sports Council (NSC) has distributed relief materials to Naso residents of Manang.

Gurung, who reached Naso, Manang on Friday by chartering a Simrik Air helicopter for the flood victims, returned after handing over food aid. He said that some relief materials have also been provided to help in understanding the situation as Naso village has been inundated for the past few days. Talking to Pokhara Sports, he said, “The situation there is critical, I have provided some relief materials, but the people there urgently need the help of the state.”
Gurung urged the government to immediately provide essential services from food items as electricity and communication services have been disrupted in Naso village. With the help of the helicopter, the power was brought from another settlement across the Naso River.
Locals of Naso Village Municipality-1 of Manang have been waiting for immediate rescue and relief due to the recent floods. One of the residents Roshni Gurung complained that it has been difficult for her to eat two meals and spend the night properly for the past four days. They have demanded immediate rescue and relief as the government is not present in the pain of the people of Naso village.
Madan Gurung, another local, added that most of the houses of 62 households were flooded due to the lack of precautionary measures. He demanded immediate relocation of 300 people, out of which some have broken their arms and legs, while some of them have health problems.
