Media Volleyball for the First Time Ever in Pokhara

Cave City Media Organization has decided to organize media volleyball for the first time ever in Pokhara.  The event will be held from 28th to 29th September 2018.

As stated by Mr. Bhim Thapa , the managing director of Cave City, the event is related to health and is media friendly. He asserted that the event is aimed to make all media persons to come together with the help of volleyball and as well as to make this sport more popular.

According to the chairman of Cave City Mr. Durga Prasad Acharya, the winner will be provided with a cash amount of Rs. 33,333 and the runner up will grab a cash prize of  Rs. 22,222 along with trophies, medals and certificates.

Altogether 20 teams are expected to participate in the contest. It has been declared that the best player will receive a cash amount of Rs. 3,333 and in the same way best spikier, best lifter, best server and best quicker will be presented with a cash prize Rs. 1,111 and the most disciplined team will be awarded with a cash amount of Rs. 2,222. In addition to that, certificates will be provided to the participating teams.

Mr. Thapa added that it will take rupees two hundred thousand to wrap up the event. He further affirmed that the competition will be held in Pokhara Tudikhel located in Bagar and the each participating team must pay rupees one thousand for the registration.

The tournament will be carried out with the support of Krishna Sunar, a resident of Pokhara living in US and held in the collaboration with District Volleyball Association Kaski and the volleyball technical center Kaski One of the supporters of the event is Pokhara Metro City 16.

In the inaugural ceremony, media persons and the employees will play a friendly match with local government representatives. Speaking at a press conference, the chairman of Pokhara Metro City ward 16, Jivan Prasad Acharya expressed with confidence that this event will play a vital role in the promotion of sports tourism in Pokhara.
